PetAir UK have ample experience in flights for dogs to their destination. Working with every airline that transport pets, we can organise every step of the journey. PetAir UK can offer as much or as little help as you would like – just ask us.

PetAir UK is registered with IATA, IPATA and DEFRA approved. All of the vets at PetAir UK are official veterinarians, which means that the vets have undergone extra training and can complete the DEFRA export certificates and pre-travel health checks for your dogs.

Transporting dogs to their new destinations can be difficult, but the team at PetAir UK does all we can to ensure the welfare of your pet comes first.

The Journey

Moving any pet from their home to a new place can be stressful for owners and the animal. All of our flight routings are based around what is best for that particular pet.

PetAir UK will use the best airlines and the quickest routes for your pets, avoiding the cheaper routes where there may be a stop on the way. Where possible, the journey is made shorter to reduce stress for the animal.

Where in the plane does my dog travel?

There are often misconceptions on the whereabouts of pets on a plane. When flying with a dog, your dog will usually travel in the hold of the aircraft, in a special area which is heated and pressurised. In their crate, your pet can have something from home which smells familiar, so long as the crate is IATA approved. There are some exceptions where dogs are allowed in the cabin, however each airline varies.
