Taking Pets to Africa
Africa is a reasonably common continent to fly dogs and cats to. The most common African countries are: South Africa, Egypt and Ghana, but we can also fly pets to pretty much each African country. The tricky part is that they all have their own individual rules and regulations for correct entry.
Generally for pet travel to Africa, the dogs and cats will be able to travel on a direct flight from UK to their final country of destination. And where there is no direct flight we can work with you to discover the best indirect route. The best route will be a combination of a route which has good connection times, safe and comfortable facilities for stopover and, most importantly, the receiving country is happy for pets to transit.
Some African nations require pre-travel blood samples, import permits or legalisation of the UK produced veterinary documents by the embassy in UK before travel. And this differs from nation to nation.
There are a number of steps to consider for pet travel to Africa. If you require more information for a particular destination, then please get in touch with us by phone, or request a quote below.

Maya’s travels to Cape Town
I just wanted to say a huge thank you for helping us with Maya’s journey to Cape Town. I know there was a lot of work involved so I’m extremely grateful for everything you’ve done. It was so reassuring to have you assisting with the process and it took a lot of stress out of a stressful situation.
By way of an update – Maya is absolutely loving her new home. I really thought she’d be a bit traumatised by the whole ordeal and that it would take her a while to settle, but she was completely fine right from the beginning! She’s been surprisingly calm and seems very happy. I’ve attached some photos of our reunion and also Maya enjoying her new daily beach and mountain walks. It’s quite a change of scenery from London.
Thank you again!

Phoebe to Egypt
Thank you for all the help you gave me and Phoebe throughout the travel process. Everything went incredibly smoothly, she didn’t hate me afterwards(!) and she’s settling into Cairo very well.

Bruce flew from London to Turi, Kenya
Good Morning Hayley
I am delighted to report that Bruce arrived in Turi , safe and well, yesterday afternoon. After a very joyous reunion and lots and lots of ecstatic sniffing, he began to settle into his new surroundings and he has had a calm night.
Thank you so much for guiding us so excellently though this whole process. You and your team have made everything so straight-forward. The gentlemen who travelled with Bruce yesterday from Nairobi were so lovely, so caring and were even visibly very moved by Bruce’s obvious joy at seeing us again. Nancy at Priority Pets Africa also kept us updated as to their progress from Nairobi throughout the day which was really helpful. In all, an outstanding service.
Of course the most important thing is that Bruce is here safe and well and for that we are extremely grateful.
